Remember the melt over Joe McKnight (the next Reggie Bush) and elation over Perrilloux?

Or how about Russell Shepherd? I remember when I was told by the rent that he was going to be the greatest quarterback that ever stepped foot on a college campus.
We didn't miss Joe mcknight, not for one single snap. And Perrillox was here for a cup of coffee
Relax, these things often don't turn out how you think. My gut tells me that ultimately we will have dodged a bullet.

This is different.
Watch Gordon's interview with Moscona. He talks about how he lost a prize to Texas, you know, that oil money thing. Then Oregon came along with Phil Knight money and dropped so much more money the recruit didn't even give Texas a chance to counter offer. Said this was his biggest fear, Oil money, Tech tycoons, and Phil Knight.

I sure hope so. That's the kind of thought I'm going to cling to like my life depends on it!

I tend to agree. Odds are that this will not hurt the way panicky posters think it will. There is not a single “can’t miss” player in high school or college football.

It’s a different world now.

We still can’t spell his name right

Big fish swallows little fish, then in turn, gets swallowed by bigger fish. And so on and so forth.

It's not different. Joe McKnight didn't go to USC for 12 million dollars. What was the reason? It was something else. Either way a naive 17-year-old was snatched away. People acted like they lost their first born. Turned out we really didn't lose much in terms of football player.
This is just like that. And the more ridiculous amounts of money people begin to pay, the more regulation there will be. This thing has to turn into a complete dumpster fire shite show before there will be regulations in place. And it's 98% there. Let Michigan have him. LSU will be fine. Everybody melting over a kid who's been old enough to drive for 2 years needs to just calm down

That's what's important to you about all this? How his name is spelled is irrelevant

It's different because it involves a vulnerability LSU has.
There is a difference between slipping a recruit $50,000 or $200,0000 and dropping Larry Ellison or Phil Knight money on them. Let's see how many top recruits aren't picked off out of our class.

There was actually a thread about. I hope he breaks a bone or tears a knee
That is way too far. Just take the loss and be a fricking man, look up and just pull for the Tigers.
