I think overall recruiting classes are important and rankings are a good way to keep a pulse on the program. But following individual players has long been a waste of time. Half the time it’s Lucy with the football, and if they do make it here, it’s a 50% chance they fade into obscurity.

I mean signing doesn’t really matter either. It doesn’t mean anything until you see them perform on the field. LSU’s 2023 class was ranked 5th nationally. 3 of the top 6 players from that class transferred out after their freshman year.
