For what it's worth, 1st year starting vs 2nd year is typically night and day. Even though Nuss is older and been at LSU for a few years, he was very limited in meaningful snaps prior to this year. Even the great Joe Burrow was underwhelming in 2018, sub 60% completion rate, 16/6 td to int, and he came over as a grad student so he was older also. Not saying Nuss would go 60/6 next season, but one would think he'd improve. Wishful thinking, I know

Hopefully struggling will make him stronger. He knows now that he needs to get with the best receivers and throw three hours every day during the offseason. Will he do it? Will the guys show up every day?
