There's no playoff because fricking ESPN's latest TV contract is the reason why the BCS is still alive for the next few years,

Start with a Four team playoff...keep it simple. use BCS poll to determine top 4...let them battle it out...that's just two weekends of games...play two games one weekend, and then the championship game 2-3 weeks later.

Should be reminded 8-8 Chargers made the playoffs while 11-5 New England is at home.
There is no perfect system but the BCS is the best we have had in 20 years. However, everyone hates it. I don't get it.

They weren't demanding one following the 2004 season when Auburn was left out nor were they demanding one following the 2005 season.

I am all for the playoff but here is my only concern. CUPCAKE SCHEDULING.
Think about this... Who in the earth would schedule a tough out of conf game. The regular season would be utterly boring.
