JAIDEN BRAKER
5.9 RATING
6'3"|214 LBS|OLB
SOUTH GWINNETT
SNELLVILLE, GA
CLASS OF 2025
VERBAL 7/31/2024
Moved up: New to the Rivals250

We've alluded to it for a while but Braker now enters the Rivals250 at No. 100 overall. The explosive linebacker out of Georgia brings to the field the type of versatility that defensive coordinators will love. Braker is a great open field tackler and pursues the ball carrier with an outstanding motor.

As a blitzer, Braker is able to make his way into the backfield taking a variety of routes and using multiple techniques to beat blockers to the ball. There's still room for him to physically mature before he sees consistent playing time at the college level but right now he has the type of athleticism and playing style that is hard to overlook.

KADE PHILLIPS
5.9 RATING
6'2"|170 LBS|CB
HIGHTOWER
MISSOURI CITY, TX
CLASS OF 2025
VERBAL 8/18/2024
Moved up: New to the Rivals250

The size, speed and athletic profile Phillips brings to the table is one of the best of any defensive back in this class. The 6-foot-2, 170-pound cornerback out of Texas has posted impressive track and field results which are clearly evident on film when he closes on the ball while it’s in the air. His long wingspan and explosiveness off his plant foot keep receivers from creating the separation quarterbacks need.

Phillips has a technical skill set that should allow him to see the field early in his college career.

We saw Phillips rose this week with On3 due to having a great senior season and having all the measurables to be an elite corner. Braker has steadily impressed as well. He has the frame to be an edge guy or play off the ball with his speed. I heard UGA is making a strong push for him late but is likely too late to the party.

Braker, Moses, and Ross at LB. Phillips, Pickett, and Anding at CB. Great foundations at both positions.

Throw in Shanklin and Harrold at the EDGE, Bradford, Jimcoily, and Jhase Thomas at S, and Zion Williams, Brandon Brown, Mathis and Battle at DL. That looks dope.

The defensive haul is LOADED and every coach has done his part. They have also squeezed every bit of juice they could out of this ragtag group we have now playing. When people realize that defensively it IS NOT the coaches and 100% the players, some of this stupid talk will cease.

If this doesn't brighten your day, you need to pick another team to root for. Wow, and then add Thanos hopefully.

Exactly. Thanos would obviously be the cherry on top of the sundae. Starting with this class and the current coaching staff I'm not that worried about the defense.

I'm glad lsu was able to hold onto braker.

He moves well for his size. Lsu could use some size at linebacker.

Anybody that doesn't have Phillips in their Top 100 overall has no idea what they are doing.

I wonder if Pickett will get a look at Safety. Really hope we can keep this class together

he is a stingley level corner. Him and Phillips on the boundary with anding in the slot is the future of the backend

With them coming in early, can we go Phillips and Pickett boundary and move Stamps to safety?
I almost would say let the 5 star boundary corners take their lumps…corner is a spot you can contribute as a true fresh

I wholeheartedly hope that is the route they go. Just like we allowed Campbell and Jones to take their lumps as true freshmen, we gotta do the same for Phillips and Pickett. They will walk in the best athletes and longest in a position of need. Despite their youth, we will no longer be athletically outmatched against sec wr rooms with those freaks on the boundary.

Stamps is a much better fit at safety he doesn't have the speed to be an sec caliber cb and safety is a position we are desperately lacking depth in. I hope Stamps is open to moving to safety he played a lot of safety in HS

If Stamps wants PT, he'll move around via coaches requests.

They do not have the number 1 class. I dont know why you keep saying that. It’s a great class. The class is not ranked #1. The class is ranked #4. This is a fact. You know this.

I agree. The lack of talent in the room is a big reason Stamps is starting. That will no longer be the case next season with the freshmen coming in and even a year 2 woodland. Sage Ryan is much maligned but even he was open to moving from safety to slot corner, to outside corner and now back to safety if it meant staying on the field.
