In McComb Saturday for the first time. Pretty excited about it. Any tips for an 18 handicap?

I thought this thread would be about Quail Hollow in Charlotte which is a phenomenal experience.

It’s a fun course. Our league played back in August and it was in much better shape than previous years. I enjoy the elevation changes on a lot of the holes. It’s not an overly difficult course either, everything is pretty much right in front of you

I am a golf pro in Chicago. A bunch of us were talking about quail hollow yesterday. It’s a world class layout! Condition is up and down but you won’t find a better layout anywhere! If
You hit the dinner bell up it’s a bucket list trip!

Good call on dinner bell on the way

The new manager has been working hard to bring back conditions. Biggest complaint I have had is they water the hell out the greens so around the greens are muck. We just play it as ground under repair and move on

Thanks for the input guys. I’ve been to Dinner Bell. It’s good but won’t have time this trip. Were camping at Percy Quin

It’s a great layout. I haven’t played in years because they used to not control pace of play at all. My brother and I went up there and played the front nine in about an hour and a half. Then we played holes 10-11 in an hour and a half. And then we left. There was a group of six in front of us, group of 7 in front of them. We told the pro shop and they were very ho hum about it. I just never went back after that.

We have a 7:30 tee time. Hopefully that won’t be an issue

Play up at least two tees.

Don’t play 7400 yards.
Play 6250 or close.
