Good luck. Not much action has been happening where I hunt. I got spayed in the face by a stink bug yesterday afternoon while climbing a tree. I forgot how much that burned.

Deer/pig hunt
Amite River swamp
77 degrees, sunny with 11 mph SE wind
Marlin 336 30-30 with 3x9x40 basspro special and 170 grain Winchester silver tips.

Just sat on a dove bucket in ankle deep water amongst cypress and Tupelo gum trees. Maybe the big moon will push them through this gar hole where I can get a shot. Dead buck or pig OR 2 pm, then outta here.

Worst bullet I ever tried. Cool looking but awful.

I agree if it’s in a fast caliber but the 170 gr round nose pushed slow performs as advertised and animals die quick, at least for the last 40 or so years for me.
