Being inept in the red zone is on the OC.
Having your qb checking to a swing pass then coming right back to a horizontal pass is on the OC.
Having zero run game unless Durham gets the ball is on the OC
BK may realize he gave the wrong guy the keys to the offense but there is little that can be done midseason. Slone should be unemployed within three weeks, he is an embarrassment

He should have stayed the QB whisperer. Not qualified as a first-time OC at a big program.

Kelly is always in correction mode.

Could we just try teaching nussmeier to step up in the pocket?

You'd think the son of the coach making Jalen hurts look like an all pro would know to just take a step or two forward instead of 39 steps backwards.

Sloane has not been good. OC is an extremely important job and many simply can't do it well.

With that said, BK's oversight and clock management has been piss poor too. We have played 10 games and Nuss/LSU are still blowing timeouts early in the 1st half due to not getting plays off and we are still having head-scratching time management sequences before half and near the end of games. Nothing has improved.

BK's teams improved as the year went on in his first two season. We won 6 in a row after losing to USC and were in great position this year, but now we have totally collapsed and we don't look good in any aspect of the game. As BK said, the buck stops with him. He has to evaluate every part of LSU's game including his decisions.

Isn't Sloan still the acting QB coach? If so, that's also on him.

Yep. This is starting to be a trend with him. We were all freaking about losing Sloan or Hankton after last year. In retrospect we would’ve maybe have been better off if they both moved on and we found a competent OC

The fact that he FINALLY put in a few runs out of pistol that have worked well but has ZERO play actions out of pistol is CRAZY, decent running game plays with Playaction would do absolute wonders for the offense. It would help the O line to passblock, Taylor to get open, the WRs to get 1v1 by pulling a Safety down. It's not even like genius level play calling, once your getting decent runs you implement PA but every single time we're in pistol, the world knows its a run lol

This is what baffles me as an outsider. Now, I grant you, I'm stuck with the incredible off again/on again Arkansas offense... but if i had a back averaging 6 yards a carry I might just let that kid carry the football. A lot.

This pisses me off more than watching Ryan Burns and Gilbert Miss every tackle

Yea Slone is garbage. Who is responsible for hiring him? I keep getting told the players suck and that’s not Kelly’s fault either. So what does Kelly do? He’s not to blame for anything lol

Exactly, it won't fix the crap play calls, but I'm pretty sure those plays aren't designed for the qb to take a 20 yard drop.

We’ve always been sub-par in the red zone under Kelly.
