I truly believe he wanted to come here and challenge Saban led Alabama and compete for titles.
But dude went from where he was to about as South as it gets. I'd imagine the players at ND respond better to his coaching style.
Same reason Orgeron was so damn good until he hit the Pinnacle and called it a day.
He still has time to go somewhere he can cement a decent legacy , but If he stays here his career will end on a sour note.

Brain Kelly is an old washed up coach. I fell like he may have been close to retirement at Norte dame and along came this fool who offered him the best retirement gig out there. $100 guaranteed. Who wouldn’t have took that deal. You can’t fire the guy cause he has you by the short hairs. There has to be some clause in these sort of contracts that drives you to compete and not get to the point of mailing it in.

Brian Kelly is a good coach. Not great. He got away with coaching ND and not having to play in an actual conference. He has consistently shite the bed in big games throughout his career. He’s burned out and needs to be put out to pasture

He used to be good.
Now, not so much.

In about 4 months you'll be able to see Kelly and Orgeron racing their golf carts past Jimbo's house in The Villages, drinking beer and taking pickleball lessons

O wasn’t good, his staff around him made him look good. When he stayed out the way good things happened but when he reverted back to his Ole Miss ways everything fell apart.

Brian Kelly’s record is horseshite. He isn’t a good coach.

He was never that good. Everything he did at ND coincided with our historical rivals being way down. He enjoyed the worst eras of USC and Michigan football practically on record, and when Michigan got good he made his captive AD take them off the schedule. Missed the Harbaugh era at Stanford almost in its entirety.

BK benefited from playing 2 good teams a season at ND and the rest of the opponents on the schedule were below average. Or he just outmanned the below overage teams with more talent. So, he stacked up the wins to make him look like a good coach. Now that he is playing talented, well coached teams 9 weks out of the season, he is being exposed.

No he’s not. He was a MID coach at ND that won games with weak schedules. frick this fraud.

Well, i guess we all can’t go 10 and 2 playing shite acc teams and lose the sugar bowl every year with those leprechauns. It’s a shame Kelly can’t do anything good at a program that can actually win titles, and it proves that he never was a good coach.

Miles was hired at 44, saban at 49, ed o at 55, and Kelly at 60.
Almost like younger coaches in the prime of their career are hungrier. Woodward went with the safe floor comfortable hire.
