BK is coaching his 21st season as a D1 HC without a NC

In the last 40 years (I only looked back to 1984) only 1 coach, Mack Brown has won his 1st D1 NC after 21 years on the job!
In that same time period, only 7 finally got over the hump after 14 years on the job.
The odds of Kelly ever getting it done are not good at all!
At some point you have to look at a guy's record and realize, he is what he is!
Not everyone is cut out to be a champion!
That said, Woodward CANNOT be allowed to hire the next football coach whenever that time comes! He's responsible for hiring Jimbo, O's extension, and Kelly's ridiculous guaranteed contract!

The BK lovers are out today in full force. You’ll get all their downvotes but Brian Kelly is a fraud and Woodward is also

No fricking shite. The odds of any coach winning a national championship are super low.

So the winningest active college football coach?
Why do the most clueless retards make the majority of the threads?

Good lord, did you even try to account for context on any of these?
This number doesn't take into account the fact that there are maybe 10-15 jobs in America where you realistically CAN win a national title. Notre Dame hasn't won a title since the Reagan administration and Kelly came the closest to doing it of any of the coaches since Coach Holtz. Is every coach that doesn't win a title terrible or are a lot of guys limited by not being at a place where you realistically can win one?
If he retires from LSU without having won one, you'd have a point. This is the first time in his career he's been at a place where you have a reasonable shot to win a natty.
Well, his record says he's the third winningest active coach in college football.
This is dumb. Did Ed or Les look "cut out" to be champions prior to coming to LSU?
The wheels fell off of Jimbo once Ross Bjork extended him. You had to extend Orgeron. For recruiting purposes and because he had just won a national title. This correlation of Kelly to Jimbo is not remotely the same in context.
Jimbo had elite rosters and couldn't win more than 8 with them. Kelly is winning more than Jimbo did and the roster isn't fully fixed yet. A roster that is on it's way to being fixed now that the defensive hires have been corrected, which is a fair criticism of Kelly that he screwed up the defensive hires the first time aorund.

Regular season wins mean jack shite! Especially when the bulk of your wins came at ND where you don't play in a conference and rack up wins against whatever low hanging fruit you schedule!

How is Woodward a fraud?
When three of his hires had won a Natty.
Also, LSU currently has a Top 10 recruiting class in 4 different sports.

I didn't call him a fraud, I just believe he's great at hiring coaches for any sport but football!

So just for clarity, every coach that hasn't won a natty sucks in your opinion?

The first two posters in this thread just like to be angry and don’t know shite about the actual game of football. You’re wasting your time arguing with them.

Ahh ok. So you just move the bar to wherever you need to place it to come to the solution you want. You certainly aren't a low IQ dumbass.

Jimbo actually was pretty good early on at A&M. It wasn't until Ross Bjork and the board extended him that the wheels fell off, well after Scott came to Baton Rouge.

Nope, I said if they coach for 2 decades without a championship they ain’t getting one!
LSU isn’t a place for a coach that simply “doesn’t suck”!
It’s a place for champions!

The last 3 head coaches were a combined 87-74-1 before being hired at LSU.
Hardly a den of champions.

Explain the numbers then, do you realistically expect BK to do what literally no one has ever done?

I think he's finally at a place where you CAN win a title. Will he? We'll see but LSU no doubt about it is his best chance to win one. You can't win a title at Notre Dame and Central Michigan. You can win one in Baton Rouge.

Dont bring this reasoning onto the rant!

I think Tom Osborne would also qualify. Took over Nebraska in '73 and won his first natty in '94.
Lou Holtz is another who didn't win a natty until well into his HC'ing career.
