Lummis has “led the charge” to create the reserve, which she claims will “supercharge the U.S. dollar’s position as the world reserve currency for decades to come.”
The path to its creation is already underway with the introduction of the yet-to-be-passed Boosting Innovation, Technology, and Competitiveness Through Optimized Investment Nationwide Act—simply referred to as the “Bitcoin Act.”

Lummis the Senator whose campaign is funded primarily by crypto lobbyist like Andreessen Horowitz, and has been promoting bitcoin based bills since her entire time in office. Who has also disclosed she has a very large position in cryptocurrencies, I am sure she has nothing to gain
BTW she also took money from FTX
Forbes source FTX for Senator Lummis
Back to the topic at hand, do you honestly believe in the fiscal tightening that Trump is promising he is going to spend hundreds of billions of tax dollars buying a speculative security, which generates no revenue?
If you really want Trump's true opinion of Crypto look no further.
Why do you think he started Liberty Financial, he sees the path to revenue generation. That is creating new cryptocurrency coins to sell to people.

JD Vance has half a million in Bitcoin. Trump has been making purchases with Bitcoin.
Our strategic reserve is coming. Other countries are buying up Bitcoin and doing the same.

I’ll believe it when I see it. Still a very long way to go

Is someone able to explain this to me like to a 4th grader? What's the expectation here, benefits to us as a nation (not just to Bitcoins value), and things to keep an eye on? TIA
(Yes I haven't really kept much attention to BTCs other uses, so trying to catch up some as a newb)

It’s a speculative investment for the nation. There is no point in actually using bitcoin.
I own BTC because to not have a little bit of it these days seems like a bad idea for individual investors, but that’s a far cry from thinking the US should be an adopter.
I know Trump said alot of things, but this is less likely than no tax on overtime, which is essentially never happening.

I don't think this opinion will age very well.

So like hoarding it like the oil reserve is what is being discussed here? Definitely not seeing how it would be a benefit unless somehow it's being looked as tiring or dollar to it like we had gold. :head-scratching:

I’m confident it will for the country.
A strategic reserve is not going to be used to buy a coke.
If they’re going to use it to transact payments, they’ll just use a CBDC.

Ah yes are we back to Bitcoin is a currency, thanks to that one time Trump painfully bought a coke using Bitcoin for a video clip. Got any more examples of him making "purchases".
Remember just a few months ago people tracked down Trump's Bitcoin wallet, and he already had sold the single Bitcoin that was given to him. He now holds zero.
Never thought I would see the day that all the anti govt crypto bros are cheering on Daddy govt to pump their bags.
The only truth in the whole space is people will do anything to make sure number go up

It is a bit comical where bitcoin started and where it’s supposedly going.

I'm happy to see more in goverment holding BTC rather than seeing Elizabeth Warren's bank paid mission to take BTC down.

I want to see how quickly the sentiment would change if the government pursued the idea, but selected a currency that directly competes with bitcoin.
