Trade back that 1st rd pick (top 5 position overall position in 1st rd) ….
to the 12th or 13th pick/position thereby pick up another 2nd or 3rd rounder.

Then at 12 th or 13th pick ….you make a decision to select player or trade back in 1st rd once again !!

Then have massive number of picks in 2nd to 4th round.

Acquire/draft numerous good players on cheap contracts… THATS how you rebuild quickly as you can !!!

If Loomis is in charge he will use it to move up in the draft not down.

But I'd love to move back if we aren't picking a QB or Travis Hunter, and get future draft compensation over multiple years.

This is going to be a 3-4 year process at least.

I wouldn’t trade the 1 back so far you move out of the really unlikely to miss category. At the end of the day you still want one of those for 5 years.

Ideally you can move back enough to get a 26th first and change from a slightly less shitty team that wants a qb.

No, if top 5 you have to take a qb.

One thing people are missing about the draft is, if there truly is no franchise changing QB, trading back won’t be as easy as picking up the phone and naming your price.

Only acceptable time to do that would be to move from early 2nd into late 1st if you truly love someone and want 5th year. This would make more sense if we move back a bit from our1st pick and get a haul.

And who exactly would you be comfortable taking as a qb this year?

If you have a top 5 pick and the top DT, OT, CB or DE is still on the board (it will happen) …. teams will move up to trade.

And after that you shut off Madden because dinner's ready and your mom is calling you to come to the table

Your assuming people wanting to trade up are only looking for a qb smh. There are teams that are a CB or WR away from making a run. They will be ready to pay to move up.

You’re obviously not a diehard Draftnik who watches the draft.

Teams do this all the time… Belicheck and the Patriots in their heyday come to mind.

If we trade a top 5 pick back to 12 or 13…. You can still find a good player.

For example….

In the 2024 draft , Saints picked Fuaga (OT) at 12th pick.

Not in this draft. Trade the pick for another pick in 2026 or more picks. There isn’t single QB worth picking in the top 15. We are stuck with Carr’s contract anyway. We are going to suck anyway for the next 2 years so stock pile picks.

You get more than a 3rd, probably more than just a 2nd to move from 3-4 to 12-13
