Will probably be a 3rd that conditionally moves to a 2nd with milestones if I had to put money on it.

His contract runs through 2026. Trading him would trigger a $20.63 million cap charge for 2025, but it would clear $16 million in cash from the books. (His cap number for 2025 is $31.4 million.)

Good God do it.

We'll screw up the draft pick.

OTC says he'd leave a -$31M cap impact on 2024.

We will beat the Panthers and Loomis will say that our quarterback is back and we are headed in the right direction.

God I hate the delusion we are forced to live through.

How about next? This year's cap no longer matters. Season's over.

Pre-June 1 cut would have negative impact (about $0.5M)

Post-June 1 cut they say we'd clear 18M but I don't understand the math. I would need someone to explain it, b/c it appears his salary + roster bonus totals $18M (with $13.4M in dead money). Typically the max you can save, net, is the salary + roster bonus, so I don't get how we'd save 100% of that with no dead cap impact.

I hope someone can explain it to me.

If those teams are calling, then you obviously have it wrong somewhere. This wouldn't be your fault though since we only get the information we get.

I don't think so. Not with the restructure we did this offseason.

Latt has a YUGE dead cap b/c of how we kick can using his contract.

If the saints have to have 31 million in space this season to trade him, no one would be calling.

Why does that keep us from trading him?
