The lack of a real PG is killing us

The turnovers say it all.

Murray was a great trade. As much as I like Dyson, we needed a true PG in the worst way. Almost no effective pick and rolls since game 1. Lobs to Missi? Nope. Murray really is the key to this thing.

BI, Zion and Ingram are fine as secondary ball handlers, but they are not good PGs. The turnovers say it all.

CJ is honestly the worst of the three as a distributor. Zion turns it over more but he's also more effective. CJ is a black hole with the ball in his hands other than catch and shoot/drive.

Zion missed Ingram several times for open 3s.

They were just taking turns. That type of offense doesn't work.

Right now, we're a poor man's Phoenix last year. Some good scorers with zero PG.

Jose hasn't been good either. Jose and Zion have to have more minutes together. They were money against the Lakers in that final game. That's an action we can run.

I don't know if it's because they practiced all offseason with Murray and can't adapt or what. But it's a problem.

I can make the argument that an injury to Dejounte was literally the worst person on the team to be injured

It would be great to have a coach that can run set plays when this is the case.

The team made that very argument the last 3 games. Oddly enough Missi might be #2 on the list. That's not to say he's the 2nd best player, just that he's another player on the roster with zero redundancy behind his unique skill set.

They just fall back to bad habits.

It was ONE game, but I remember Murray making smart decisions like backing the ball out at the end of the quarter for a final shot. Making the right read on pick and rolls. Throwing beautiful lobs to Missi.

He wasn't perfect. I hated the kickout to CJ on the fast break that actually worked once but not the second time. His shot was off. But he was in control.

We could barely complete passes once the Warriors stepped up defense.
