We need to run the ball just for the sake of running it

Don’t care if it results in multiple 3 and outs to start. We have to at least pretend that we’re willing to keep it on the ground because throwing it 50 times is not at all sustainable. Bama is just going to rush four and drop everyone else back and call it a day because they know Nuss won’t run. I actually think LSU utterly abandoning the run in the second half if a big reason why we lost.

1st post and I couldn't disagree with you any more. That would kill any chance at winning for LSU. We have 0 ability run, and you just want to basically hand back Bama the ball? That's an easy way to go down 17-0 or 21-0 at half.
So dumb.
The best we can do is throw 50 times a game. It's definitely not desirable, but it's better to average 7 or 8 yards per pass attempt and throw 50x a game, than it is to average 1.5 yards per carry and run 50x a game. That's not an opinion. That is a fact.
Running every play or majority of plays on drives would without a doubt 1,000% chance be a loss vs Bama.

So you want to put Nuss in a position where he needs to take more risks because we'll waste one of the 3 plays he has every time the sticks move for a half yard run? Sounds genius

We do
Every 2nd down
Right up the middle
Working out really well for us

Stop with the formations designed for RPO and option qbs. HE’S NOT RUNNING IT. No one is fooled. You don’t even have to prepare for it. It’s not a concern.

LSU always needs to run the ball.
But if you’re going to run the SAME play every time you hand the ball off, then you’re better off just not running at all.
There may have been small differences in the blocking scheme or the left or right gap.. but it seemed like every time LSU handed the ball off on Saturday, they ran right at our weakest point on offense (interior OL) and into one of the strongest points of A&M defense (interior DL).
To me that is just absolutely ignorant, arrogant, and down right stupid.
Against the best defense we will play all year long, our offense was more predictable than I have seen it this season.
One would think that the playbook would open up against your toughest competition, not close down to one page of it. I really don’t get it.
