Son and I are heading to College Station. Plan to find a bar/restaurant near stadium and watching early games. Anyone have a recommendation for a place recommendation?

Do they do male waiters at Hooters in college station, instead of females to better suit the needs of their typical crowd?

Skip campus. The folks are friendly, but it's so damn spread out that the scene is disjointed (and you'll quickly waste all day walking around if you're not careful).
Dixie Chicken is right outside of the TAMU campus. Good spot, but it's small. So, get there early.
