Any idea why Castin Cajun Tony Fontenot did what he did?

The YouTube thread made me think about him.
Seems like he had a lot of family that cared for him along with a successful business and a big YouTube following.
Is this true?

I was told that he went into the ER complaining of his head hurting then went to the bathroom. He shot himself and left a note saying that he was in a wreck that morning; the other passenger was killed and that he was an organ donor. When they found him it was too late to use the organs.
Is this true?

I'd always heard he'd come into some financial hard times with his business but who knows. I used to love that show, easily my favorite. I still watch older episodes every so often and still jam some Cedric Watson tunes here and there.

They say he saw his wife on the Castin Couch.

Heard he thought he was coming down with dementia or something like that.

There was alot of speculation early on, his son in law came on here at one time and things sort have quieted down. I never heard a real explanation.
Met him a couple of times and was a great guy every time I spoke with him. Just never know.

If that's the case I don't fault him at all. This is why there should be assisted suicide, so people don't have to make a bloody mess if it.

I'm not sure why you're getting downvoted.
I've had to watch my MawMaw go through dementia and parkinsons, my PawPaw go through terminal cancer, and my Mom go through ALS.
Not only do I have zero desire to go through any of that myself, but there is absolutely no way I will put my family through that either. People don't see this side of it, but those are not individual diseases. They impact, and in some cases destroy entire families.
Why not let people have dignity?

Regardless of his health and his reasoning, I enjoyed the show.

Dr. Grafton, who was always a guest on the show, started making a show not long after Tony passed called Keep on Castin that's basically the same, though he's not as good as Tony was. Still uses Cedric's music and all. I don't have Cox anymore so not sure if its on TV but I try to catch a few episodes on Youtube every so often.
