An Independence man died in a fatal traffic crash in Tangipahoa Parish Friday evening, according to Louisiana State Police.
Charles Baglio Jr., 81, was driving a 2025 Nissan Altima eastbound on Kohnke Hill Road near United States Highway 51 at 8:10 p.m. when he drove into the intersection of Highway 51 and Kohnke Hill Road, and a 2016 Nissan Altima traveling south struck his vehicle.
The 2016 Nissan Altima landed in a nearby ditch, prompting Baglio to get out of his car to check on the other driver. After leaving the shoulder of the road, Baglio was walking back to his car when a 2001 Toyota Tundra traveling southbound on Highway 51 struck him, state police said.
Baglio was seriously injured and pronounced dead at the scene. The Toyota driver was uninjured, police say. Impairment of the Toyota driver is not suspected.

Can’t you put anymore effort into this post?
I mean even just linking to the site…or any kind of copy/paste?

Longtime high school football coach and LSU football staff member Charles Baglio has died.
The fatality was a result of an automobile accident, but the cause of death was not immediately available.
Baglio won more than 200 games as the head coach at Independence High School for 22 years, reaching two state championship games. He was hired by then head coach Nick Saban in 2002 as Director of External Relations. He served in the role for two decades, continuing under Les Miles and Ed Orgeron. He was a part of three national championship teams with the Tigers.
Baglio graduated from Southeastern University in 1967 with a degree in health and physical education and followed that with a master’s degree from SLU in 1973 in supervision and administration.
Check back with LouisianaSports.net for more information as details emerge.

For asking him to put more effort into the post about Bags passing, instead of the 6 words he initially posted?
My apologies for wanting a better post announcing his passing.

Paid site said he was in a car accident and got out to check on the other person and was hit by a passing car.

I remember when Saban hired him as a liaison to the state high school coaches.
It was a cutting edge move at the time.

RIP Coach Bags. Was a great move to get him at LSU to help improve recruiting within the state. But damn I wish he got a state title at Indy while he was coach.
