Talking with a coworker of mine today who was shot in the leg many years ago. He kept saying “it didn’t hurt that bad”. You can clearly see the scar, I just have a hard time believing the pain isn’t intense.

Probably mitigated by shock factor

No, haven’t been shot lol. I am pretty sure I’ve felt some BB’s in the duck blind before though.

I’ve always heard it burns, but doesn’t necessarily hurt.

Yep
I agree that it burns-didn’t hurt much until the next day

Cost me an eye and a career in the marines

Easily in the Top 3 pain I've ever been in if not #1, the other 2 contenders being a tooth infection from a faulty root canal and kidney stones

I know of a guy who was shot in the ear with a high powered rifle. Dude just stood right back up with blood all over his face and told everyone around him to watch out and fight back. He’s a bad arse motherfricker to be honest.

kidney stones

Oddly enough, I asked him if he had ever experienced kidney stones, because that’s probably the worst physical pain I have had.

I was hit by a .25 ricochet in the knee. It was too far away to do any real damage but it stung like hell.

I have been told it feels like a very bad burn.

I was out of my mind when Shelby Holmes was shot to death and that was my question. He didn't die instantly but was brain dead and on life support for organ donation.

A poster on here has told his story before. I haven't seen him post in a long time though.
