Firing Allen - and even Loomis - will feel good but won't fix issues especially soon

This team has cap issues, significant injury issues, and a roster full of players who are either past their prime or will never have a prime... many of whom are playing now because of injuries.
Besides, who on this coaching staff would make a good interim? Rizzi? Grantham? We have no one that jumps out to me. It would be unfair to put this on Kubiak.
Let the team get healthy, clean house the day after the regular season ends, start significant roster turnover, and prepare for 2-3 years of suckage, where hopefully we can get good draft picks and find some hidden gems.

Who put the team in that situation? Loomis

Sure. But
1) I'm afraid Loomis is going to get the chance to fix the problem.
2) Even if he was not, firing him now vs January makes no difference
Also...
3) How involved are the Sainte and Loomis in the Super Bowl prep? I know the NFL runs the show, but do they lean on the local team? Might they not want to get rid of Loomis until after the Super Bowl?

You're not very smart. The moment you fire them you're actually changing. Insanity is..... You knowingly suck for 2 or 3 years to get it right and have a 10 year or more run. Ask KC or NE (w/Brady) or 49ers how it feel to be in it every year.

I bring back Michael Thomas and let him coach.

Loomis practically owns the team. He isn't being fired no matter what so we should just discuss things that could actually happen.

It's time for the Saints organization to look forward to next season and start to plan right now on what serves next season's goals the best.
IMHO, it's time to trade assets for draft picks.

But in reality, are you?
You aren't getting better players and you aren't changing schemes. You could change playcallers but I'm not sure that's the issue here.
And I'm not even sure what great mid-season tradeable assets we have. The few young players we have need to stay so we can build around, and the rest of the roster is second string or overpaid old talent with bad contracts.
Maybe Kamara... but the market for 30 year RBs is not great.
