Started off by packing the dome for the first three years. after that, it looked like the cajuns were playing at the dome when looking at the crowd.

i think everyone stopped going because the refs woulnd't let them fight that much anymore.

Yep... I went to the very 1st game. It was hyped and a lot of fun. There was a dance afterward! The ex and I had a blast! I ended up with a puck, a frick, and a TShirt afterwards!

Hockey in BR/Lafayette was a fad that just had to die. I am surprised it lasted as long as it did. The hockey was BAD, esp. in BR, where the team sucked most of the time they were here. Over the span of a couple of years, I went to a lot of Kingfish games, and it got old...same promotions, same music, same everything. It got to the point where all that went to the games were teens and rednecks. I was not sorry to see them leave.

Rob McCaig used to be my favorite player. I think he used to get into fights all of the time. He signed a poster that I had on my wall for years. I've still got a "Drink more milk" poster on my wall with Ron Handy of the Icegators and Cam Brown of the Kingfish.
