We can't even claim a good defense anymore.

No pass rush. Can't play contain on mobile quarterbacks. Teams run it down our throats.
Werner is invisible now injured. Davis is old and injured.
The only thing I can say about the defense is they don't allow teams to go over the top and they force more FG's than you would think. But teams are getting chunk plays on wide open receivers.

We are 6th in the league in points allowed. There is no greater indicator of a nfl defense.

Our defense has been diminished by injuries but it’s still good. The problem is that with the offense all but wrecked by injuries, the defense needs to be great and I don’t know that anyone expected that.

I gotta hand it to them on points allowed. My theory is our defense is old and slow and perform better on a smaller field.

We have lost 3 games where we gave up a combined 1 passing TD. Defense is not our problem.

We went with a lot of older guys. They slow down, and they get injured. They take up cap space.
And when you trade a lot of draft picks you lose depth because often times 4th and 5th round guys can help.
