Trying to perfect your fattie play?

Why not both?
I have COST and LLY.
LLY is a better long term though IMO. Weight loss drugs are like AI, just getting started.

I have both in my Roth IRA. Going to make a yearly contribution. Just curious as to which is the better stock for growth

I like LLY future with weight loss drugs. Of course COST growth is a thing.
Looking at my Edward Jones ratings, LLY is currently a buy and COST is a hold.

Never thought about it that way.

Costco seems overvalued even compared to it's normal overvalued state. However it is basically a safe play because they do better in times of recession. They attract the highest earners as customers and generally business has gone up even in rough times as people shop based on value.
I think short term Eli Lily will be more explosive growth. But it's apparent that weight loss drugs are becoming too costly for the health care system to bear. I believe they will negotiate much lower prices with their customers to sustain their revenue streams. Plus there is a lot of competition coming down the pipe. Race to the bottom imo

There is so much perfection priced into LLY right now but I would have said that $400 ago too, so who knows?
LLY is more than twice the market cap of Costco. It feels to me like Costco can grow into Eli Lily’s size faster than Eli Lily can grow into a $1.7T company.
