GT had 2 very late, cheap shots on Jefferson and had some others that were questionable and not called. I had a good look at Miles at the game after those shots and could see that he was really pissed off. I think that had something to do with the calls late in the game. The gloves came off at that point in my opinion. by Miles. GT got what they deserved and asked for it. GT's coach made a statement to the effect that what goes around comes around, and it did toward the end of that game. They got what they deserved.

I saw that too.

I only wish we could have run it up a bit more.

+1

If we did it last year, I would had been upset, But being the nations underdog and Herbstreits "lock" to lose...I felt that is was a good statement

I just think the down field passing late in the game was to give Jefferson more work in a big time atmosphere once the game was in hand. I dont think their was any intent to "rub it in". It was giving a young QB work that he cant get in practice.

They should thank us. We were giving their defense practice in covering long passes and fake punts.

And to show recruits we will have a quarterback that can get you the ball downfield. (Debose, RR)

It's their job to stop it. "Running up the score" is bogus! Had it been the other way around, GT fans, players, and coaches would not have given a shite!

I agree. Spurrier used to do the same thing. Stoops is very good at getting his quarterbacks some work on their passing skills late in the game too.

When we played Miami it was the same way, we didnt score much if at all in the 2nd half. All the damage was done by midway through the 2nd Q.

I agree as well. Play action to throw the streak isn't a very tricky call, but it let's your athletes open it up and show some of their stuff.

Other fanbases dislike Miles anyway so who really cares. They can keep doubting him and we can keep pouring it on in the bowl game. It's their job to stop us, so fvck them.

if in four years we have learned anything about Les Miles it is that he takes what he is given and makes no excuses about it. If GT stuffs the box then LSU is going to throw over the top and it is up to GT to stop them. the 'wailing and knashing of teeth' by the GT fans is remarkably familiar to the crap we have heard from the miami, notredame and ohiost fans. punking GT was great but watching the smug, overconfident look being wiped off Paul Johnsons face was...well, you know...priceless.
