It will end. Be it tonight or be it a month from now.

Let’s try and score a run or two, and see what happens.

Lineup:

If we lose tonight, he may not even bother flying back to ATL

Last time the Braves have won consecutive eliminations games as a franchise was in the 1998 NLCS... against San Diego.

(We still lost the series )

Also of note, in the current iteration of the wild card round, every team that has won game 1 went on to win the best-of-three series.

Well that is impossible now.

So either we lay down and die like dogs, or shite all over the Padres.

Tonight would be a great time for Sean Murphy to show everyone why AA gave up the moon and the stars to get him.

Max is about to dominate. Padres have struggled vs lefties.

Maybe, but our pitching was overall pretty great last night too, so there’s no reason to believe it’ll matter.

We should let Max hit and DH for Arcia instead

I’m only half joking

Edit: apparently that’s only allowed in HS

I haven’t been in these threads much because they make me sad, but given that Arcia is having maybe the worst season among qualified batters in recent MLB history, have we ever considered playing Urshela at SS and Merrifield at 3B?

Surely the offensive advantage would outweigh the defensive drop off?

Ehhh... I wouldn't trust Merrifield at the plate anymore than I do Arcia.

I think this is something they would seriously consider if Whit wasn't playing on a broken foot.

This feels like a classic game the braves win for sure. Then rip our hearts out in game 3

It’s hard to be optimistic but I’m trying. We should know what Max is all about tonight if his curveball is working early
