At this point, he might turn out to be a POS. Maybe he’s innocent.

No need to be sad either way

Either he put himself in a bad situation around dumb people and he will be found innocent and he'll have to miss one college season and learn a valuable lesson.

Or he shot someone and if that's the case he should do hard time.

The article implies that the new evidence will further incriminate him, and the girl says she wants him punished. But crickets on what the video actually contains.

What are we supposed to make from the fact that he’s not even charged with that?

Why was Kelly so adamant he’d be back this year?

He’s charged with illegal use of a weapon. He might not have been aiming at the victim, but still shot her.

Possibly, but he shot her twice.
Once? Maybe he didn’t see her, but twice?

He's either a talented young man who threw his life away or he is innocent and forced to delay his dream for something he did not do. Either is sad.

I think it's OK for it to be sad that someone ruined their life even if they are getting what they deserve. ;dunno:

Should have been playing this whole time - presumption of innocence

Uh, if he is the one that shot her I think we’d be looking at a different charge. Right? I haven’t been following the case, but it sounds like they can’t prove he shot her. If you can’t even get an indictment….

True enough, though I do not recall the specifics. I want to say this happened at or near his residence so being part of a family of people who make poor choices can make it more difficult to distance yourself.

Right. What it does indicate is that the case will be ongoing and drawn out a bit longer meaning he will not be likely to play this season.

I mean they removed the attempted murder charge. Even if he did pull the trigger, I don’t think you can attempt to murder someone you weren’t even shooting at

This isn’t a DWI or a bar fight. You don’t play him until the court process plays out. Presumption of innocence doesn’t extend to playing college football.
