Bruins coming to Baton Rouge

We met so many friendly folks at the Rose Bowl a couple years ago, so we are looking forward to the LSU football experience! We are heading to Chimes for Friday dinner, but had a few questions as far as tailgating and seating. We are in Section 404 L, do these seats have seatbacks or are they bench seats?
Where the heck should we go to experience the famous Tiger tailgating?
Any recommendations for tailgating, restaurants, things not to miss are greatly appreciated. Go Bruins!

Unfortunately for a 230 game the tailgating is limited time but you will find plenty of tailgates that I'm sure will welcome you with open arms, don't be afraid to walk up to some and introduce yourself and you will be fed and served drinks. I would get to campus early Sat.
Just note that the parade grounds are where the frats tailgate so probably not where you want to be.
All around the stadium will be plenty of tailgating going on and around rest of campus as well.
LSU will release times of interest towards end of the week, so you can see when the band marches down hill on north side of stadium, definitely go see that.

Just walk around and you’ll get invited to a lot of great food and drink. Wear your gear. You may get some light hearted smack, but all in good fun.
Not sure on the seats

Unless you were lucky enough to buy tickets from someone that rented a seatback, those are going to be bleachers, my friend.

The entire campus is a tailgate scene. What are your ages? That might help narrow it down which part of campus is best for you.

We are all young 60 who love to party and tailgate

Season ticket holders are offered the chance to rent seat backs so it depends on who owns the seats you purchased. You might have them or you might not.

If you like walking around and people watching, you should have blast just wandering around campus. You might bring something disposable or that you wouldn't mind leaving behind for drinks. (Note: Stadium is clear bags only so if you have a clear bag that could work). Walkons (which is near the satdium) has pretty good food and drinks. They usually have a tent set up in their parking lot with bars set up and a band or two after the game. There are not a ton of other dinining options except a handful of place near Chimes in the Northgate area. City Slice is an option.
As mentioned above, the band will march down Victory Hill. Also, you can visit Mike the Tiger at his habitat which is near the stadium.

The only part of campus that might be iffy for y'all is the parade grounds. Mostly college kids hang out there.
Just walk around campus and take in the sights. Ask for directions to the "Indian Mounds". It's fairly close to the stadium, lots of good established tailgaters, and close to Victory hill where the band marches down pre-game. Don't be afraid to just walk up and introduce yourself. If you see some food you don't recognize, just say "that looks great. What is that?" You'll leave full.
Have a great time and come back here to share your experiences.

Hopefully Allysa Lang will be in attendance...

Lang doesn't go to SEC Nation, she will be with SEC Now crew on location somewhere else

kinda obvious but pack a cheap, disposable backpack or other cooler with some beers, etc. tailgaters are more welcoming if they see you planned ahead and aren't just there for freebies.
the walking plan near the stadium is good. it's a beautiful campus, great people watching, folks having a fun time. you'll have a blast. don't skip on the band or Mike.

Find the bread truck while tailgating, best people around.

I forgot to mention the CATS touchdown Trax system will not be up this year.
At 930am the show in front of the PMAC will feature Pants Party, a 90s/00s cover band that's a lot of fun.
Women's gym should be receiving their rings around 1130am in the PMAC.
