I'm sure there are others who excited for the season to start, if so when did you started becoming a fan? And another question what makes you think this season would be different/fun?

Expectations of media day? Btw the Saints being a revolutionary offensive juggernaut really took the air out of this franchise that was already mid outside of the Murray hype.

It’s basketball man. Not worth dreading even if you don’t like it.

What are you dreading?

There is a good chance we play some exciting basketball with our current roster. It may not be a championship roster but we will be competitive.

So many lies told to paper over concern about the center position.

They’re my hometown team so i’ve been a fan as long as they’ve been in town.

But I already have to make an effort to find time to watch the games so if they suck I just tune out till next season.

With the exception of the Ad/Boogie team, I’ve never been more excited for the Pelicans (obviously not counting the CP3 years) to start the season. I know everyone hates on the team a lot, but we’ve at least put out three solid years in a row including the Suns series. With AD, after a good year (playoffs), we’d be arse the next couple of years. So I’m definitely not dreading the season, but there are reasons to be optimistic:
DJM: All star point guard that seems excited to be here.
CJ: still a 20 ppg scorer
Zion: Healthiest season was last year and had 40 in last game.
Herb: 1st team all defense
Trey: should start the season healthy and get off to a much better start
And then there’s BI—all I got for him as of right now.

I have no lofty expectations. I just want a competitive team that’s fun to watch.

I’m not dreading the season to start, but I’m dreading the annual injury swoon and ultimate push for play in positioning. Also, would be a lot more hyped if we had Walker Kessler to throw at Jokic, Embiid, Sengun, than Daniel Theis.
