USC has played in 2 national championship games and only won one. Against an Oklahoma team that should have been supplanted by undefeated Auburn. If Auburn makes it to that game USC is 0-2 in BCS title games.
The SEC is 4-0 in the title game while the PAC 10 is 1-1(with USC the only PAC 10 team to play)
Soon the SEC will be 5-0 in the national title game with 2 teams having won it twice. LSU-Florida who happen to play each other every year.
USC is a joke.

nah I think SC would have won, they were the best team that year, but it wouldn't have been the Stoopsian blowout that it was.

USC would have stomped Auburn.

ETA: Auburn wasn't in because of SOS, so Oklahoma was rightfully there.

Your envy or resentful obsession of USC only perpetuates the very problem you complain about...that USC gets too much hype.

USC is a really, really good team. There's no need to cry because ESPN gives them a lot of attention.

I'm trying to figure out who is more obsessed with USC....ESPN or the MSB.

It's neck and neck so far.

What did Auburn do in the regular season that was more impressive than Oklahoma? OU had the same record and a tougher schedule by most measures.

And what evidence do you have to suggest AU would win?

ESPN needs something to talk about since they don't want to pimp Fox's Bowl games THAT much.

Hence, why they talk all about USC.

They beat the defending national champs that had held Oklahoma in January of 2004 to under 200 yards offense.

It's not the attention that bothers me. Its the persistent "BEST EVER" and "DYNASTY" comments that set me off. Oklahoma is more deserving of that kind of talk IMO.

How can you not nake it to a BCS game when you play absolutely no one? They should play in the BCS title game every year. Oh yeah they can't because they get beat by 41 point underdogs at home.

If all you have to do is win the PAC 10 to make it to the BCS, it kind of makes it not that great of an accomplishment.
