As a dog person I hated it because my dogs are going to live forever.
I thought it was pretty good and even going in knowing the dog dies didn't stop it from being one of the saddest fricking things I ever witnessed. Damn I wish there was some way to make dogs live as long as us.

If you don't tear up or get a lump in your throat in this movie then you have no soul

Or you are as hard as nails. Just kidding. Wife wants to see it, and I hate those moments in movies.

It's gonna be tough, the harder you try to fight it the sadder the scene seems to be.

I have only cried once when it comes to entertainment (reading "The Road") and I had to fight it pretty hard not to cry in this one.
I definitely let my dog sleep inside with me after watching it. He's 9, near 10, and healthy as ever, but shite that movie depressed me despite my prior knowledge of the depression it would offer.

I liked it. I read the book a couple of years ago, so I knew what was comming.
It was a bit much at times, but overall not a terrible movie.

I tried to read the book, and couldn't get past the first few pages. The author is a pussy, that does his dog and family a HUGE disservice by not properly training his dog. I hate people like that
If you would have read more than a couple of pages you would have found out that they DID train the dog. He was kicked out of puppy school. The movie also didnt show that Marley went back to training and graduated. EVER have a lab? Some will train very easily and calm down after a couple of years others will be wild as shite until they are 6 years old no matter how much you train them.

I cant believe they didnt end the movie on a Happy note. By showing them with another Lab puppy

My mom wanted the family to go see this despite the fact that our family dog of 11 years recently died. Definitely a tough movie to watch there in the end, but the rest of it was pretty entertaining for dog people. Especially ones who have had labs like that.
