Watching the Rose Bowl last night that was the drift from most of he comentators.Brent Mushmouth even stated that except for 3 or 4 losses by USC in the last few years they would have 4 or 5 national championships.The love fest continues!

Remember that like all television and radio media, ESPN is about the ratings. USC has a large fanbase and pimping them keeps customers happy

Rose Bowl=ABC
Rose Bowl=2nd largest TV Market (with no pro team)
ESPN=USC lovefest.
Not that hard to figure out. The real question will be what ESPN does when they get the BCS rights.

10-4 Those crawling up USC butt comments were ALL about the money.
Haven't you ever noticed over the season how the games ESPN is covering (South Montana vs Delaware State: Game of the Century!!!) are always the best games, played by the best teams, who obviously got the shaft at some point?
It's a bizness, never forget, and ESPN won't be happy until they pry the SEC from CBS and even Notre Dame from NBC.
But I do enjoy watching/listening to Herbstreet screw up. He changes his mind more than Bill Clinton!

i hate that broadcasters today think that their opinion is as important as broadcasting the game.
