Soap was great. I was only 11 but my folks didn't approve. I watched it anyway somehow. Having an openly gay man was anathema back then.

Richard Mulligan as Bert was hilarious in that show. Hell, the whole cast was good, but for me, the character Bert was the best with his dialogue and physical portrayal of the pretty simple minded guy he was.
