Parsons : 6’4 250 , 4.4 40 yard dash , powerful enough to beat any nfl OT single handedly .
Perkins : 6’ 225, 4.4 40 yard dash . Unable to beat any ncaa OT 1 on 1 so far in his career .
Please can you rantards stop thinking Perkins can be the same as parsons .

Best thing Perk can do is get back down to 215 and move to safety

I do think he could be better than burns and Gilbert . But don’t kid yourself into thinking he could cut it full time as a safety . A good play caller would abuse him all night by forcing him into coverage on a slot receiver.

Perkins has been a non factor since his freshman year. Not sure if it’s from coaching schemes, not big enough, or both.

Maybe he is on the wrong side of the ball. Instead of trying to fight off lineman he should be running behind them.

This is a reason they keep trying to make him work at MLB. The coverage demands on backs and TEs are a little more reasonable. It would be a good fit and keep him consistently closer to the box, but he just doesn’t seem to have the instincts for it.

At the end of the day, this may be the only answer.

I wish we’d use him like Mich used Jabrill Peppers.

I think what we saw his freshman year was a anomaly. I have read from several people that his handlers wanted him a LB. I don't think he has the instincts to play the position nor the heart to go fight off blocks from lineman. I have seen him put no forward no effort all on several plays.

Young players often "pop" because they are usually only inserted into situations favorable to their skill set, they're often fresh, and opposing coaches don't gameplan against them.

This is why fans usually believe the players on the bench are better.

That’s pretty much any safety. I mean all play callers Re trying to do this to safeties. He runs a 4.4 and could be physical with the receivers. I think it’s worth exploring. He sure as shite ain’t a MLB.
