Solid rain here stopping Friday night with cloudy skies Sat.

Cooler weather also moving through at night, over the next 4 days shift of about 10 degrees.

When would you hunt?

“Cool front” & rain day before opening day.

Friday: 77/68 85% rain
Saturday: 84/67 18% rain/cloudy
Sunday: 81/63 19% partly cloudy??
Monday: 86/71 35% and increasing through week

1. Predictions on birds opening day Saturday?

2. What’s your favorite day and am vs pm? (Both obviously??)

Thanks in advance

Saturday morning fosho! Cool front Sunday may have birds scattered and the best shoot is usually the first shoot. Good luck to all going!

I'm visiting my brother in shreveport this weekend. He wants to go see if we can't find a few to shoot at. Does anyone know of anybody up there that does paid day hunts or anything like that? I know it isn't great up in that area, but when I lived in texas there were paid day hunts everywhere so was just wondering.

Lucky you! I shot 2, a mourning and a white winged. The guys in the soybeans along the Mississippi River shot about a case between 6:50 and 7:30 this morning. I need to go find where the poppers are being grilled.

Slaughtered them in south Mississippi this morning. Best weather I can remember having for a September dove hunt.
