Anyone Else Disagree with the Coach "O" Hire?

I dont like this hire. What has the guy done? He sucked at ole miss, he wasnt that great this year on N.O.
He can recruit but do we really need help with that? He will be hired just so another SEC school like Tenn will not hire him for recruiting. I dont like the hire.. If it becomes official.

who would you rather have as a DL coach?
Lane was already supposedly on his way out anyway, but his DL's have been very disappointing recently, especially this year. Lane was a good recruiter, so you replace him with someone with better credentials as both a DL coach and recruiter. enter Orgeron who is pretty good if not better than Lane in both departments.

you might wanna look a lil further back than his Ole Piss days....look what the guy accomplished @ USC... he's the ONE that got that ship turned around with his recruiting prowess...don't be so blind grasshopper!

No
Do you start stupid threads just to
bring your post count up?
I have not agreed with any of your opinions.

hey dumbass why don't you look even further back into the guy's resume. what does being a shitty HC have to do with his titles he's going to have here?

i mean obviously if you suck as a HC, means you suck as a position coach.

some people's logic on here is amazing.

There is a great articles posted somewhere on this site where the writer claims that O had as much to do with USC getting to their level as Pete Carrol.

I like the hire, but I find the hire awkward in the sense that a position coach subordinate will make more money than the DC, but at the same time be an associate head coach. Does that mean that sometimes Chavis is O's boss and sometimes O is Chavis' boss? Just seems odd. That sort of scenario wouldn't work in real world business, I suspect.

if you want to disagree with the hire at least come with a less retarded argument

I don't think bringing him in is the real issue. My reservation is the reported salary.
It's hard to say how much of an impact he would have on recruiting, especially given we may end up with the #1 class without him.
As for his d-line expertise, I've seen a lot of praise but can't help but think back to his mediocre defenses at Ole Miss.

how can someone have close to 16,000 posts on a sports message board and know so little about football?

It's called football, and they are all professionals, winning will solve everything, plus it's better then what we have now.

Because I disagree with the hire I know nothing?

what does the salary matter to you? If LSU doesn't think the money is excessive thats all that matters. There's no salary cap, this doesn't hinder us in anyway

your logic implies you know nothing. Not disagreeing
