The Saints look to move to 2-0 in the preseason out in the bay against the old archenemy Niners.
Derek Carr says he feels the offense is light years ahead of where it was at this point last year... I'd like to see him prove that, please.
Defense looked good last week though... but this week's challenge for the 1st team might be a bit more difficult.
Everyone is ready for round 2 in the back-up QB battle between Jake Haener & Spencer Rattler
Reminder that tonight's game is being shown nationally on big FOX... not the local TV broadcasts with Joel Myers (sadly).

Glancing at the schedule, I'm wondering if they'll manage to get their 2nd win before November.
Maybe mid to late October with the Broncos/Thursday night at home then a mini bye before Chargers in LA.

I have no expectations. just ready for some football. if we ever win another SB, it will be fantastic. if we do not, I can rest knowing i saw one in my ;lifetime. now no matter what we do, good or bad, it doesn't really effect me one way or another.
glad it is on Fox - gonna setup my antennae to watch tonight. can't wait to see how Ratler does. I want to see if Penning gets better - I have almost no confidence he will, but i am curious to see it.

I mean maybe we’ll suck as bad as this board seems to think/hope and we won’t win our second game until November.
We also play the Panthers/Falcons/Bucs/Broncos/Chargers/ who all were terrible last year and may be terrible this year. And the Cowboys and eagles were both pretty bad down the stretch last year.
We could be 2-6 but also very possible we’re 4-4 or even 5-3. Why be so miserable until it happens?

It’s funny how much of a rivalry this used to be but now it just doesn’t have that feeling. Old NFC west was awesome.

Allright, my first viewing this year of Penning tonight on national TV. I'll give y'all the skinny after my evaluation. Not expecting much out of him or this squad. 7 "winish" team.
But I'll be viewing on my patio, enjoying a Tito's and tea, nice 73deg, no humidity or bugs, low 60's tonight, great sleeping weather.
At least i won't have anxiety this year, expecting good things and stressing every game.
