Will still be hurricane season, but that’s the chance you take a lot of places. Any idea what you want to do or where you might want to stay? A lot of the places there have meal plans included in the stay.
I have most often stayed at Cambridge Beaches, an old school cottage resort on the opposite end of the island from the airport. Have also stayed at Tucker’s point a time or two.
Pro tip: Skip the scooters and use taxis or the ferries.

Staying at the Fairmont Princess. The Mrs. was adamant on picking the hotel. Looking to bounce around beaches and pubs around St George's and Hamilton. Any suggestions?

The fairmont has its own beach which they will shuttle you to, its decent, but there are better public beach options. If you are young then rent the scooter and hit all the beaches between the Reefs resorts and Coco reef resort.
The crystal caves are cool, We rented paddle boards at blue hole watersports, then went to the cathedral cave right next to it, which you can swim in. Go fishing with Challenger or Sea Wolfe
Hit the Swizzle inn 2 locations, Henry VIII, lobster pot, La Trattoria
Sneak into the Reefs daily tea time for snacks and tea, and you can usually just walk right down their beach and they don't know you aren't staying there. They have a decent beach bar for burgers etc.

Bermuda is an interesting place. Unlike the tropical islands of the Caribbean which have problems with poverty, Bermuda is one of the wealthiest places on the planet because of all the industries that maintain an offshore headquarters there and the reinsurance industry which keeps some of its' reserves there.
A good note on crime is at LINK
Bermuda has a large resident alien population due to the need to import service labor. Gangs and drugs come with it... better now.
Check out the Bermuda National Trust LINK
It's the work of actual Bermudians and long-term visitors trying to maintain some natural and historical places.
When visiting I've made use of the public buses. Like any place, avoid rush hours. Most Bermuda families have a single car an choose to ride the buses.
The Dockyard development is worth a look

We went in March and had a great time, but it is extremely expensive. Basically everything is double what you would pay in a major US city.
Some of the cab drivers will do island tours and are great. Will take you to local spots you wouldn't normally go as a tourist.
Highly recommend the Cooper Island Nature Reserve in St George's. Absolutely amazing and empty beaches unlike the more well known areas near the cruise ship docklands.

Hog Penny is about the best place in "downtown". Low key, talk to the bartenders for other recs. A lot of places turn into clubs at night so wasn't my thing. If you need wheels, rent a Bermi from localmotion. Great vehicles to jump around. Walk through horseshow bay beach and relax just a walk away at Warwick long bay beach. Island Cuisine is a basic local breakfast spot that won't break the bank. Nice people for sure. Gulfstream by horseshoe bay beach was a really good restaurant that didn't carry the Hamilton prices.
