Seems like every other day a player picks off his passes.
Should that be a concern going forward or is that the norm during scrimmages and practices?

I’ll be worried until the first game, but I have faith. If the defense still sucks, then BK better grab some ice for his seat

It’s not concerned per se. But IMO, Nussmeier will throw many more interceptions than Daniels, at least early on. As a backup, he was somewhat careless about that. That could go the other way as well. He was careful in the bowl game against Wisconsin. That was a pretty good defense.

Daniel’s was one of the best we’ve ever seen at not turning the ball over. Almost everyone will throw more interceptions.

If the bowl game numbers tell us anything, it’s that Nuss will let it rip. He won’t throw as many interceptions as he did his first two years, but he’ll have several games where he does throw them.

He held the ball bc he could run. If you can’t run, you got to throw the ball to move the offense. That’s the luxury of Daniels.

Can you link the videos of him getting a bunch of passes picked off in practice?

He threw back to back picks in NCAA 25 so I benched him. The backups didn’t do any better. Just pick after pick after pick.

Not worried but he’s not going to be Daniels and he’s not going to be Burrow. Fans should have reasonable expectations. That said, I think he will be fine

I know he has thrown 4 so far. 2 to Stamps.
I just asked a question it doesn't have to mean spirited.
I just wondered if that was the norm for QB during camp and at scrimmages to iron out the timing and accuracy.

Didn't know much about Burrow before 2018.
Didn't know what to expect.

This is Nuss 4th year just hoping he can have a Burrow type of improvement.

Nuss is a gunslinger he's gonna get his playmakers alot of opportunities to make plays and some mistakes will come with that. But he will be fine he will probably throw 10 picks next year but throw 30+ tds

Ive said it from day one. He reminds me of a young Bret Farve, high risk high reward. He will make some big time throws and will try and squeeze in a few that will get picked. Hope the defense can bail him.out when he does.

It’s natural to be concerned. We know being reckless with the ball was his main problem early in his career. And while we hope and think he has gotten better with that, we haven’t really seen enough of him against legit defenses to know.

While he has been in the program for a while, he is still new to being a full time starter. He’s going to have his ups and downs.

At the beginning of preseason practice, a quarterback tries to squeeze into tight windows and learn what he can and cannot do. As the first game approaches, Nuss and the whole team will tighten up.

You can't actually believe the low intercept ratio was all on Daniels? BK drilled it into him for two years. And BK drills it into Nuss now.

What we learn is during the game. We definitely learned about Burrow and Daniels. Let's hope Nuss learned, too.

As a Texans fan, we have been hearing about CJ Stroud getting picked in practice numerous times. Guess what..the defense knows the plays and can anticipate. Relax.
