Got a new tractor and bought a Speeco Quick Hitch. The adjustable top hitch takes 7/16" pins. The problem is they're not hardened or strong enough for lifting the tiller or brush hog without bending.

Anyone know where they sell upgraded, stronger clevis pins?

Check a bolt store?

If they don’t, get a 7/16” grade 5 or 8 bolt?

I'll probably try that if I don't find a heavy duty clevis.

Why clevis over a regulat hitch pin?

They have grade 8 hitch pins.

Having a 7/16 pin for a toplink is kind of...odd.

I only use grade 5... But they are twice the diameter.

They're for the adjustable top hook of the quick hitch. The pin to the attachment itself is a Cat 1.

Problem is you bought Speeco- made of Chinesium.

Go to your local friendly Kubota dealer and ask for the pins from the top link hook on a Land Pride QH16.

In fact, put the Speeco on FB marketplace and leave the Kubota store with the whole QH16- you will be much happier in the long run.

For those wondering- his hitch has an adjustable top hook- it’s got two small pins that allow the hook to move up or down a couple of inches. This is right in front of the normal top link attaching point.

It’s made to be a universal option for implements that weren’t designed to be QH compatible.

Think he should lower (take weight off) the upper hook? The weight should ride on the 2 lower hooks and not much on the upper.
