In Arkansas for the week on lake Hamilton. We’ve caught some nice channel cats on rod n reel. Planning to run a trot line tonight. What’s the best baits? Got some hotdogs, stink bait, worms. Gonna try to catch some bream and cut them up too. What’s worked best for yall?

Is there any current? I do really well with zote laundry soap in the river. Haven't tried it in still water yet, though. It's nice because you don't get stink bait all over yourself.

This is best.

Cut up shad and mullet are great also if you have a cast net or way of catching them. As long as it’s fresh cut bait.

I live on the stretch that like a river that runs up to blakely dam and the stripers and walleye are in here pretty good right now in the afternoons till a few hours after dark where the water mixes from cold to hot...its worth a run if you have a boat ..I get out there and troll jerk baits in a little 12 foot bateau and have been landing stripers up to 50 lbs...they are difficult to get to bite artificial during the day as the water is so clear they don't fall for it much..but after dark it's on right now

Not in that area, but cut up chicken breast marinated with strawberry Koolaid powder works.

Friend of mine swears by sliced up chunks of beef heart left outside for a day or two.

Im jelly. I took a dip just below Blakely dam this past weekend. Painfully cold. Though being back in Ms and this heat makes me wish I could take another dip even if it gave me another ice cream headache.

A channel cat and a flathead. This was the bream we used that the flathead ate. Doing it again tonight. Got more live bait this time.
