Confession time - I know many special needs people, often coaching their programs, as I have a daughter in the group.
One of my fondest [and ironic] memories is standing in line (wrapped around the block) for over 1 hour in 2020 to vote with that daughter. We saw other of her friends, with their families, in line to vote for Trump -- they are not shy about their choice.
Ironic, because most are deemed incompetent and I know of at least two who cannot read. Yet they believe their right to vote is one of the greatest gifts they've been given. Compare this now to my 20 yo daughter, who isn't even registered, regardless of our talks.
And It doesn't matter here in Alabama, I only feel a 'special needs' vote cancels a dead persons.
