I just put down sod at the beginning of the year and its done really well but all of a sudden it has started to turn a yellowish color while some is still staying green. Any suggestions on what it is and why it would be happening.
Also, I live in South Alabama.

Maybe needs some fertilizer. Being washed out of the soil.

Thats possibly the low spots in your yard and the water is not draining fast enough with all of the rain you're getting.

Is your yard compacted?
Very common issue with new builds where the builder throws down sod on hard packed red clay.
It looks ok for a minute then goes yellow because it can’t root properly into the garbage soil that’s left after the build.
