Payroll Tax Shield

Our company was contacted by an outside firm wanting to implement a payroll tax shield program. Benefits are lower tax implications for the company and additional $$ for employees to spend on other insurance, such as life insurance.
Anyone ever deal with this?

I’m not sure about that specially but you are just talking about offering insurance type of benefits pre tax basically?

If this is the scheme I am thinking of it's dubious at best and a lot of reputable companies want no part of it.
