I haven’t really been interested in anything they’ve done in quite some time, but this comment from Corgan kinda piqued my interest:

Man I wish. That era of songwriting from Billy is incredible. Gish still holds up. Siamese Dream is one of my all time favorite albums.

Just listened to it. Really liked it on first listen. It is a rocking album which is very refreshing.

It's ok. It's not bad, but it's not something that I have much desire to listen again. There is just nothing that really stands out. I'm not sure Billy is capable of writing something as interesting as what he was able to write in the 90s. It's unfortunate because he has such a unique voice and style.

I didn't even realize James was back in the band. I had kind of written SP off when it became little more than The Billy Corgan Band.

What’s crazy to me is that Oceania is probably the SP’s best album since the early days and that one has only Billy as an original member. JC didn’t even drum on that one.

Just gave it a listen. First track, “Edin” was my favorite. It’s pretty good, but the truth of the matter that we all know is that the level of the first three SP albums isn’t obtainable again.

Yea I really liked Oceania. Monuments to an Elegy on the other hand sounded like a billy corgan solo album.
I’ve only listened to a few songs of Aghori so far. It’s a little too prog for my tastes.

Totally agree about Monuments, but this one is one of my favorite songs at the same time. But that album sucked for the most part.

Yes that was definitely the highlight of that album. My favorite song on Oceania was violet rays.
