We’ve never been before. Got a hotel near Central Park so we will more than likely stick to that side of town.
Is it recommended to buy tickets to tourist attractions ahead of time? For example the Museum of Natural History, Central Park Zoo, and other kid stuff.

Buy city passes for everyone. A lot cheaper and includes everything you want. Book Statue of Liberty tickets asap though. Crown if not that feet tickets

Have done NY w my kid a few times. I would recommend ice skating at Rockefeller and the Lion King - get aisle seats as the cast will come down the isles. Those you'll have to book in advance. Check out a Rangers game, Top of the Rock was pretty cool to do as well.

NYC at Christmas is the best time to be there
Have been fortunate to be there several times growing up and have some fantastic memories of those times
A lot of the hotels have their own massive Christmas trees in the lobbies and decorations and it looks amazing.
Take the kids on a horse carriage ride through Central Park. Enjoy the family time together.

We’re flying up on the 26th so hopefully all of the Christmas shows are still going on.
