Alien Romulus final trailer

Yeah, knowing what I already know about the franchise and creatures, I feel like the trailer was pretty much the entire movie played in super fast-forward.

My biggest concern is that they are going to overcorrect way too much from Prometheus and Covenant, and go over-the-top with a bunch of lazily-executed fan service by recycling a bunch of lines and scenes from Alien and Aliens that will be woven into the script about as subtly as a baseball bat to the face.

Even their weapons look like pulse rifles. That's not a problem in and of itself. I just hope its not a harbinger of what to expect.

Also, I can't be the only one who finds it curiously humorous that in all these modern Alien sequels, they keep trying to force a female protagonist. Which is fine. But Alien is one of the rare franchises where it would actually be a breath of fresh air to have a main protagonist who's a guy.
