Shoutout to the photographers yesterday

For such a volatile, uncontrolled and ultimately historical event, the photographers in the pen in front of the podium did an unbelievable job of capturing history as it happened.
I’m struck that there were 2-3 photographers who immediately ran to the sides of the stage even as shots keep going off (and with no regard for their own personal safety) and start capturing history. I know that’s what they live for and many journalists may never get another opportunity like that to be a front row witness to history, but most people wouldn’t do what they did. Hats off to them.

Props to that crane operator for getting the flag there. The picture isn’t the same without it.

Yeah, took some balls, but.. they knew they weren't the target. And..
Careers were made.

They’re dedicated to their job, that’s for sure.

Professors in academia are currently preparing their lectures and papers explaining how that photographer "showed bias and subjectivity by politicizing an event."

I don’t know. Seeing the former president fall on the ground and secret service jump on him and then a photographer run next to the secret service to take photos for monetary gain didn’t sit well with me.
