It is on TBS right now. This movie has Johnny Noxville pretending to be retarded to win the special olympics so his uncle can win a bet. I have never been a big politically correct guy but this movie is disturbing on many levels. They have several "special" people in this movie and they kinda put them in a bad light.

The Special Olympics endorsed this movie and gave it their blessing. It's really not that bad.

Never would have thought that the Special olympics endorsed this.

Every single special person had a blast making this film.

and

he joins the special olympics so that he can help his "worker" get his fingers sewn (sp?) back on. The bet his uncle made is to pay off his own debt to his bookies and is merely a side plot to the story.

I actually went into this movie thinking that would be the case. But after watching it, I was pleasantly surprised how they showed the "special" people. And it was pretty friggin funny.

Best line from the movie:
"When the frick did we get ice cream?"

Funny damn movie. As with all of their movies, the handicapped folk end up on top.

The script had been written, the cast was in place, and and they were about to start filming before the Cartman in the Special Olympics Episode even aired.

Prior to both the movie and Southpark, there was the news story about the guy in Europe that actually did it (non-handicapped guy racking up medals in the Special Olympics).

I thought they were going to make fun of them but they didn't. Actually a funny movie.

They actually portrayed them in a good light. Johnny Knoxville thought he was just gonna win everything, but it turned out the special people were pretty talented in their events.
