Has anyone been skiing there or summer time ? I was cruising google maps and I've never heard of that resort.

Whitewater rafting and golf course are great. They do have a mountain coaster that the kids rode. Food truck about mile east was pretty good and pizza place in the main square was good. Plus, Durango is only 30 min away. About the same for all resorts in Colorado rafting, golf, side x sides and hiking but the mountains during the summer is always great. Get to beat the heat for a couple of weeks!

I go snowboarding there every year for a long weekend. We have an office outside the Durango area.

Overall it's a decent ski resort. Lift tickets are super cheap compared to the majors. Buy your lift tickets online and there are always deals or mountain credits with your lift tickets.

I have stayed both on the mountain and in Durango. Depending if you want the nightlife or not. Durango has several nice restaurants and places to go out. Any condo at the base of the ski resort is within walking distance or direct skiing to your room.

There are only two small bars close to the mountain and a resort bar. One of the bars is a pizza joint/bar.

I've always been skiing in late January time. There are about 5 lifts open. A couple of wide trails. The weekdays are not crowded at all. The weekends get a lot of day trippers but not bad. Nice bar on the mountain- The Powder House.

It's definitely not a major ski resort like the Vail/Breck/ Etc. Resorts but it is a good mountain to ski/ snowboard.

I have a nephew who got married a few years ago at Dante's, top of the back side of Purgatory in September. It was lightly snowing.

I've been in both summer and winter. Summer is by far my favorite, even though I love to ski. The hiking near Purgatory is really great, with Durango only 30 mins away.

Just got back from a bike race there a week or so ago. I’ve been a few times in the summer recently and went in the winter a lot when I was in college.

As others said, the resort itself is pretty small compared to others. Limited options for food and beverage and very very limited options for groceries. That being said, it’s absolutely beautiful and lots to do in the area including rafting, fishing, mountain coasters, ATV tours, hiking, biking, etc.

All that being said; Durango is an absolutely kickass town to spend time in. Mesa Verde about an hour away and very cool. Feels like a “real” town (with college and outdoor vibes) than a vail resorts cookie cutter mountain town. Lots of food and drink and shopping in a thriving downtown.

In summer, I would probably base in Durango because drive to mountain (and other options besides the resort to see/so) isn’t bad. In Winter, when I’d be focused mainly on skiing and not really worried about eating and nightlife, I’d probably stay at resort.

Sick! North Star looks amazing. Never rode that far West. We just did 10 days on the road in Purgatory, Santa Fe then Angelfire, riding and fishing.

Hard to beat big days in the park for developing riding skills.

I am from Durango and just got
Married at the top of paradise at 11k feet on top of the ski resort. As other have said. Small resort and they basically shut down in the summer staffing wise. But Durango is kick arse
