99% of the major players are "compromised"

I see all these threads about this judge or that congressman being compromised. The reality is that it's practically a miracle to find someone who isn't compromised.

Keep in mind, "compromised" is different for every individual. Some have a carrot held over their held (financial benefits, inside trading, etc) while others are threatened with the stick (exposing infidelities, whatever).

After the early 2000's every text message, phone call, Internet search, location via GPS, transfer of money between accounts, etc has been logged and catalogued for anyone in the game. These people probably weren't aware of just how vulnerable they were to this vast network archiving anything that could be used against them.

Considering this has been going on for around 20 years now, it's hard to imagine anyone emerging in the future that won't be compromised in some fashion.

Not sure how we can overcome something like this.
